How this works
Compute your Weighted Average Mark (WAM) across UNSW courses using percentage marks and unit weights.
Formula
WAM = sum(Mark x Units) / sum(Units).
Example
(75x6 + 82x6 + 68x6 + 78x6) / 24 = 75.75.
Notes
- UNSW WAM excludes Fail-No-Assessment and some pass/fail courses.
- Honours WAM often weights later years more heavily; this tool is the standard WAM.
Grading policies differ by university, department, and academic year. Use your institution's official calculator or transcript office for anything that counts (transfer credit, scholarships, honors).
