How this works
A weighted average multiplies every score by its weight, adds them up, then divides by the total weight. Weights don't have to sum to 100 — the division normalizes them — so you can drop in percentages, points, or any consistent scale.

Homework 88 × 20 + Quizzes 92 × 20 + Midterm 78 × 25 + Final 85 × 35 = 8,510; ÷ 100 = 85.10%
