SRM Grading System Explained

SRM uses a 10-point CGPA with letter grades O, A+, A, B+, B, C, F. Here is what each grade means and how CGPA is derived.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology uses an absolute 10-point grading scale for both UG and PG programs.

Letter grades

O (Outstanding) = 10, A+ = 9, A = 8, B+ = 7, B = 6, C = 5, F = 0.

CGPA formula

CGPA = sum(Credits x Grade Points) / sum(Credits). SGPA follows the same formula for one semester.

Attendance

SRM requires 75% attendance per course to be eligible for end-semester exams.
