CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average — the weighted mean of your grade points across your entire program.

The 'C' in CGPA is Cumulative — it means the average includes every course from every semester so far, not just one.

Scales

Most Indian universities use a 10-point CGPA; US, Pakistani and Bangladeshi universities use a 4.0 scale. CBSE Class X uses 10.0 with the CGPA x 9.5 percentage rule.
